This section showcases complete structural models, categorized by the software used for their development (SeismoBuild or SeismoStruct). You can download the project files for each model and open them directly in the corresponding software on your computer to explore the modeling process, parameter settings, and analysis results firsthand.
This model includes an entire 7-span bridge. The superstructure is modelled as a spine element. Isolators are modeled with links at the interface between each substructure and the superstructure. The model takes a very long time to run, but may be useful in demonstrating modeling techniques for a complete structure. The model does permit complete analysis and the various hysteretic curves of the isolators may be compared at each substructure. The model was created by Timothy E. Huff of the Tennessee Tech University.
