This model represents a single bridge bent with an isolated mass. The user may clearly observe when the isolator breaks away during the running of the analysis. This model also demonstrates the potential for large residual displacements in isolation devices with very low post-yield stiffness. The model was created by Timothy E. Huff of the Tennessee Tech University.
