Seismosoft is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the one-day specialized technical workshop on “Innovative Systems for Seismic Isolation and Energy Dissipation” that will take place on 22 May 2026 at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens, Greece. The event is organized by the Anti-Seismic Systems International Society (ASSISi).
This one-day specialized technical workshop will bring together professionals, academic experts, decision-makers, industry leaders, public officials, and specialists from Greece and abroad to discuss advanced earthquake protection technologies and promote seismic resilience through seismic isolation and energy dissipation systems.
The workshop addresses a highly relevant topic for modern structural and earthquake engineering. While conventional seismic design has been effective in preventing collapse and reducing human losses, seismic isolation and energy dissipation systems offer an important step forward by helping reduce seismic demand, limit damage, support faster functional recovery, and improve the resilience of critical infrastructure. The workshop will feature presentations, real-life applications, worked examples, and a technical site visit to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center for international visitors.
As a sponsor, Seismosoft is proud to support an event that promotes technical excellence, innovation, and international collaboration in the field of earthquake engineering. Seismosoft will also contribute to the technical programme, with S. Antoniou from Seismosoft presenting “The Use of Seismic Isolation for the Seismic Rehabilitation of a RC Building.” We look forward to meeting colleagues, clients, researchers, and partners in Athens and to contributing to the discussion on the future of seismic isolation, energy dissipation, and resilient structural design.
