Structural reinforcement

Hello Seismostruct!

I want to do structural reinforcement in my building by the method like in image below(concrete columns and beams, metal reinforcement)

Is it possible? And how?

You may find models with braces in the Verification examples, as well as in the Sample models of Seismosoft's webpage available in https://seismosoft.com/seismobuild-seis ... le-models/

Hello!

In my graduate work i need to reinforce the building. One of the method is adding steel frame inside the concrete columns and beams frame. I want to do like an image below

I searched at Verification Examples, downloaded examples from official site, but can not to find something, what i need.
Can you help me please?

You may use frame elements to model both the existing members and the new members. You can connect these elements with rigid links.

However, note that this is a forum to provide information on the use of the programs, not to provide specific modelling guidelines to all our users. This is an issue that is better discussed with your supervisor.
