Re: Comparing Story Drifts

Hi Dear Romain,

I tried several accelerograms for the dynamic analysis.but my model's maximum drift obtained from time history analysis is in the linear part of my pushover curve.what should I do?

Best Regards.

Comparing Story Drifts

<t>Hi,<br/>
I modeled a 2D RC frame in seismostruct and I prformed several analysis on my model (Pushover,FAP,DAP,Dynamic time history).<br/>
I want to compare the story drifts of these analysises.Which method do you suggest me to compare the story drifts?In which time or step I should compare the ...

Re: pushover analysis

Hi,

When I select '2D RC frame' and 'adaptive pushover analysis' in the wizard window the analysis doesn't run!You can try it!
Which kind of loading phases do you suggest for FAP and DAP?

Best Regards.
Gonzalo.

Re: pushover analysis

<t>Hi dear Federica,<br/>
Thanks for your response.<br/>
<br/>
I read the Help System of the program severel times, but I can not still perform the force based and the displacement based adaptive pushover analysis on my model.I want to compare these two method results (the displacement of n114 at ...

Re: pushover analysis

<t>Hi Dear Federica.<br/>
Thank you for your attention.<br/>
<br/>
1.I used 'force Incremental loads' (with the same values) and my top node's (n114) displacement obtained 0.32 m.did you find any other mistakes in my model?<br/>
2.I want to use static pushover analysis with the 1st mode distribution ...

pushover analysis

<r>Hi,<br/>
<br/>
I modeled a 3 story RC frame and I performed a static pushover analysis on my model. I have some problems with the output displacements. I can't find the displacement of nodes at the peak of base shear. for example if I define 1 meter for target displacement the roof displacement ...

Confinement Factors

<t>Hi,<br/>
<br/>
I Modeled a 13 stories RC frame. I have lots of sections with different properties (different width,height,hoops,longitudinal reinforcements,...). So I have lots of confinement factors.Is it correct that I should define lots of concrete materials with different confinement factors ...

Re: Pushover with 1st mode distribution

<t>Hi dear Romain,<br/>
Thanks for your reply.<br/>
<br/>
Thus, how can I compute the value of my model's target displacement? Using which formula?<br/>
Also, How can I determine the value of P0 that multiplies in the normalized 1st mode shape? (Using in the applied loading)<br/>

Pushover with 1st mode distribution

<t>Hi seismosoft team.<br/>
I have 2 questions about static pushover analysis:<br/>
1. In the seismostruct wizard, we have 2 loading type: Uniform and Triangular distribution. How can we use a loading type with the first mode distribution? <br/>
2. How can I estimate the target displacement of my ...
