Hi,
I Modeled a 13 stories RC frame. I have lots of sections with different properties (different width, height, hoops, longitudinal reinforcements,...). So I have lots of confinement factors. Is it correct that I should define lots of concrete materials with different confinement factors? Or can I use only one confinement concrete material for all of sections in my model?
Best Regards.
Gonzalo.

Re: Confinement Factors
Dear Gonzalo,
Yes, you will need to define several concrete materials (though we wonder if such an effort is really justified, considering that minor changes in confinement factor are likely to have negligible effects on the response of your structure, as a sensitivity analysis would evidence).
