We are able to define the performance criteria such as concrete strain 0.005 to certain elements. Is this strain limit having any correlation in the predefined material models? After passing the defined strain limit, how program recognise the failed element?

The performance criteria works simply as a flag, notifying users that a given performance threshold value has been reached. It has no influence on the actual analysis itself nor on the response of the structure. Please refer to the corresponding Help System chapter for further details.
