FRP retrofitted concrete section modelling

Post by mortezarazi »

hi,
I want to verify an experimental model including a cantilever concrete coloumn under a cyclic load.
its section is composed of a rectangular reinforced concrete which is retrofitted by gfrp bars and a cover of frp material. gfrp bars are located inside the concrete section(using drilling methods).
my problem is that I cant model the section. is there any method to I can model gfrp and rebars in a section? rebars and gfrp materials have quite different mechanical characteristics but there is no possibility to add two different kind of reinforcement for a single section ( I mean jacketed conc section)
thanks for help
section configuration is available in link below:

Can you not simply artificially adapt the bars diameter, as suggested/discussed in http://www.seismosoft.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=232 ?
