Hi!
1) In the "Material inelasticity" section of SeismoStruct Help, it is mentioned e.g. that it is typical to use 300-400 fibers per modeled section. No specific source (paper, book) is cited in this regard. Are the recommended numbers based on experience or on some source in the literature?
2) Also, in the "Performance criteria" section of SeismoStruct Help, typical values for cracking/spalling/crushing of concrete are provided. Would it be possible to provide the source where these numbers can be found?
Thank you for all the superb job you've been doing!!

Re: Questions on literature
Dear Nikki,
Thank you for the kind words. With regards to your queries:
1) yes, this is based on experience (there might be some papers where sensitivity issues on this matter are touched, but we are not aware of them)
2) there are certainly hundreds of publications where such values are quoted. One such example is the book of Park and Paulay cited in the bibliography of the Help System.
