Hello Sir or Madam,
I am using the SeismoStruct 2016 version to conduct a retrofitting strategy for RC buildings. When the RC columns are wrapped by FRP system, there might be increment of strength for confined concrete. Could you clarify whether there is a change in concrete compressive strength or the increase of the concrete strength should be added manually?
Thank you,
Zeke

Re: FRP Retrofitting
Hello Zeke,
No the increase in the strength through confinement is automatically calculated by the program though the automatic calculation of the confinement factor (Sections module). However note that users are also allowed to define different (i.e. user-defined) confinement factor values.
