Hi,
I'm just beginning with modelling and I haven't found a way to modelize just a single column. With "wizard", I should be able to modelize it by a 2D-frame with 1 storey and 0 bay, but we can't do that. And then I can't apply an incremented load ( direction x) and a permanent load (direction z) on the top of the column, in order to run the pushover analysis.
Would you have an idea?
Thank you!
Regards.

Re: pushover analysis on a column
Hi,
What you describe (impossibility of simultaneously applying incremental and permanent loads) seems unusual; no such problems have ever been reported. Please do check your model carefully.
You can use the wizard to create a one-bay single-storey portal, and then through the removal of one of the columns and of the beam, you end up with the single column model that you wish.
