min axial strain

Hi seismosoft,
In the tab strain and stress output(peak strain and stresses), there are <min Strain>,<d2 (min Strain)>,<d3 (min Strain)>,...
I want to select the minimum axial strain of a member in a timehistory analysis and I use minimum number of <min Strain>. Is this method true for axial strain?

Indeed, you copy the values to a spreadsheet (e.g. Excel) and then you use Excel's 'Minimum' function to get the smaller value at the column of <min Strain>. Just note to check all the integration sections of the member.

Hi. I have a brace in my model that is 4 parts and each of the parts has 5 integration sections(FB element). could I find the <min strain> of the whole of the brace??? seismostruct has only strain of sections!

No, SeismoStruct outputs the max/min strains of each element separately. However, you can easily combine the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
