Specific weight of infill panels

Post by Danae »

Hello!
I'm interested in including infill panel elements for infill massonry to my model. I find out that one of the parameters is the specific weight (default value 10kN/m3) of the masonry, in order to define the self weight of the infill panel. However, I have already included its self weight in the applied permanent loading over the nodes of the beams. In that case, it would be as if the self-weight of the masonry is two times calculated as loads of the structure? If so, can I put zero in the specific weight factor or is this factor used for other reasons apart from loading, and zero number would lead to other problems?

You can introduce a zero valued specific weight.
