Infill wall modelling Display problem

Post by haran5441 »

Hi, I modeled Infill wall in Anti clockwise direction as

1st node - left lowest corner
2nd node - Right lowest corner
3rd node - Right upper corner
4th node - left upper corner

But in latest version of SeismoStruct v6, graphics display for infill wall(bricks) looks like stretcher bond but aligned in vertical direction(along the longer side).
Actually It should display like stretcher bond aligned in Horizontal direction.
Please correct me, If I am wrong. And its just an display only or according to display struct inclination changes.

Thanks

Hi haran5441. I have tried to reproduce the display issue you mention but am unable to do so. Whenever I create a valid infill, the horizontal bed joints display as continuous lines as they should.

So I am unsure what is going on with your model. If you are so inclined and if it is a small model, I would be happy to take a quick look at it as my work allows time to do so.

Dear haran5441,

We have indeed been able to reproduce the somewhat anomalous behaviour that you report, and will be addressing this issue very soon, which, we confirm, should indeed be related to the graphical rendering only.

Thank you for bringing this matter up to our attention,

Dear Huffte

Thanks for trying it. Please check the model from SeismoStruct verification report models, Chapter-4, "Ch4-infill-04.spf". You will see the infill wall differences in display.

Thanks
