Expired license start-up problem
Expired license start-up problem
I cannot open the program on my Windows XP computer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times (using the latest downloadable version of the software) and still could not open it. There is a pop-up window saying the license has expired and that I should contact the technical support. Is there a way to fix this problem?

This problem normally occurs if the date of the computer has been changed, for some reason, and, unfortunately, usually requires complete re-installation of the system. You may try to uninstall once again the software (as you did already), delete manually the ‘Program Files\SeismoSoft’ folder (if it was not cancelled by the uninstallation procedure), remove all “SeismoSoft” and/or “SeismoStruct” entries from the Registry (if you are able to do so, noting also that this will obviously remove your settings preferences), reboot, re-install, and see if it works. If it does not, then we are afraid that the only solution will be a (certainly painful) re-installation of the system.

This problem had occurred in my system too. Thus as per your suggestion, I re-installed my windows XP. But the problem still persists with the newly installed operating system. What should I do?

Are you really trying to install the latest version of the program, available from our website?

Yes. I tried installing using the latest version of seismostruct downloaded on 23rd Jan 2009 from your website. Still the same problem...

Unfortunately we cannot reproduce the behaviour you report; we have installed the version downloadable from the website in a just-installed Operative System, and all went fine. Sorry we cannot be of assistance.
