How to apply reduced beam section (RBS) to modeling steel moment frames.

I think you would have to model the reduced section as a separate element connected to the regular beam section fasridaeli. The question would remain as to what is the proper length of the reduced section given that the reduction may be an actual curved transition in the beam flanges. Nonetheless, it should be doable and would be a good topic for research after doing a thorough review to see who has studied this problem previously.

if i use RBS in modeling steel beam, whether element class are suitable for RBS element, if i could use infrmFBPH element class? but the problem is seimostruct not allow plastic hinge length greater than 50%, whereas plastic hinge most likely to occur during the RBS or 100% of RBS length.
