Dears,
I want to know is there any limits in this software? I want to do the time-history analysis of a base isolation structure. But I have not successful until now, although I have did many adjustment. So I modeled a small structure that it can be analyzed well. At the same time, what I want to analyze is still not analyzed.
So I want to know if my model is too large so that it can't be analyzed?
Thanks very much!
model size limits
Re: model size limits
Fiona Dong,
If you read the 'Nodes' and 'Elements' sections of SeismoStruct's Help System/User Manual, you will immediately notice that the maximum number of nodes/elements is 50,000.
Alternatively, if you carry out a search on "maximum nodes elements" in the Help System/User Manual, again, you will find the aforementioned information.
In any case, if your model were to exceed the maximum size limits, you would receive an error message, hence, if your analysis is not running and you have not received such maximum model size error messages, then this most certainly means that errors have been made when building the model.
