AVS algorithm error

Post by awnurn »

I am performing adaptive pushover analysis on a 3D two storey model, i defined all parameters values, it is running fine in X-Direction but in Y-Direction, it is showing an error "Error in AVS algorithm, maximum coordinates of adaptive pattern is zero", while i have kept all parameters same as in X-Direction.
Kindly help me about this error.

Hi Rabab,

This does sound peculiar. Can you please send your model file to support@seismosoft.com, so that we try to have a look at it?

Many thanks,

Hi,
I modelled that structure again and then done adaptive pushover only for Y-direction, this time its running fine.
i have send you my model so that you may look into that problem.

Rabab,

We can confirm that, with the right settings (including activating the inertia masses in the y-direction), we also managed to get the analysis to run.

Nonetheless, we will try to find and correct the bug (wrong warning message) that you have reported.

Many thanks,
