Review of new building design

Post by imadD »

Hello,
Please show the needed steps/procedure to review/check an existing design against Displacement based design using Seismostruct.
Thank you

This is not really a SeismoStruct-related query, but rather a question on earthquake engineering.

In any case, we suggest you to read the literature on this topic, including, for instance, the book on Displacement-based Design authored by Priestley, Calvi and Kowalsky.

SeismoStruct can be used to check on gravity loads?

SeismoStruct can and has been used to accurately estimate inelastic response of structures to dynamic loading, including lateral response to base-applied acceleration time history, nodal-applied displacement time history, incremental dynamic analysis, adaptive pushover analysis, etc.

SeismoStruct is not limited to gravity load only.
