manually changing pushover load pattern

Post by mzzm64 »

Hi everyone,
I would like to know can I change my load pattern in pushover analysis manually?
for example I push the structure for 1(cm) with load pattern (1) and next push 1(cm) with load pattern (2)and ...
How can I?

mzzm6,

An adaptive pushover analysis will make adjustments for you based on changing properties of the structure as things begin to yield.

However, if you have a case in which you wish to control such things yourself, then I am not sure that Seismostruct will accomplish what you ask?

I honestly don't know how to do a better job than the Help System for this question. I highly recommend a thorough study of the following sections in the Help system (you may have already done this):

1. Applied Loading -> Loading Phases
2. Static Pushover Analysis
3. Static Adaptive Pushover Analysis

Since with either Load or Response Control, all incremental loads defined are included, I cannot see how to use one pattern up to a certain level and a second pattern from there on.

Try using 'Static time-history analysis', applying different time-history curves to each loaded node.
