Sma restrainers

I am trying to use sma restrainer bar as a truss element. but when i conduct the analysis the truss element tends to behave in elastic manner. i have used super-elastic sma as a truss element. i couldnot figure out what is wrong.

We have tried to reproduce the problem you describe, but everything worked well for us (the truss element with sma material behaved in inelastic manner), hence we can only suggest you to check your model carefully.
