Output file format

Post by lukanar »

Dear SeismoSoft,
Because I'm working on Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis of a quite large 3D RC building, I need to post-process the analysis results form the text output file. I've seen that such file is organized in subparts listing reaction forces, nodal displcements, frame element forces and so on. I'm kindly ask you if it's possible to split automatically such data in different files (i.e. a file for reactions, another for nodal displacements, etc), also because of large dimensions of output file.
Thank you very for your kind help.

Luca, thanks for this suggestion.

In the past, users asked for a single output file to be created, since that avoided the file cluttering generated by software that produce several separate output files.

We will in any case note your request, and, if possible, address it, perhaps by introducing an option in the 'Settings' to allow users to select between single or multiple output txt files.

Thanks again,
