Deformed Shape Viewer problem
Dear SeismoSoft team,
as you can see in following link, Sometime I encounter with problem in plotting deformed shape in dynamic analysis. It is like the position of fix point are considered wrong. Is this a Bug or something is wrong in my modelling?

Re: Deformed Shape Viewer problem
Could it be that on such cases the first node of your model is not a foundation node?

Re: Deformed Shape Viewer problem
Actually I use Wizard for making frame nodes initially, then with "ADD" I add other desire nodes but with names like "100" , "101" and ... for making difference with "n111", ... which are marked by wizard.
Can we edit "FIRST NODE" manually, (= can we choose the first node which are considered by SeismoStruct)
Thank you very much for considering.,.,.

Re: Deformed Shape Viewer problem
Dear Shahab,
Have you tried to add these nodes using the "Automatic Icrementation" option, selecting a node and then clicking on INCREMENTATION button?
I have done in this way, starting from a wizard model of a plane frame and the deformed shape looks fine..

Dear Sara
Yes, With help of "Automatic Icrementation" I add the nodes, But There is problem, In some models "maybe I do something wrong in these particular Models". The question is Can I manage the hierarchy of nodes for plotting issue.
Thank you for helping me sara.

Dear Shahab,
You can perhaps try, in the Nodes' module, sorting out the nodes in such a way that the first node is the one you desire to be fixed in the real-time plotting?..

Dear Seismo Team
As you can see in following link, I've done it. But it doesn't work. I have no idea. [http://img4up.com/up2/36261325671907894864.jpg]
I am very appreciated.

Dear Shahab,
The image you indicated in your post seems to refer to a situation different from the one you have described before.
In any case, just send us the model and we will have a quick look at it.

Re: Deformed Shape Viewer problem
Dear Shahab,
In the 2D braced frame model you sent us, you have (we presume erroneously) fixed your braces against rotation on all directions, whist you should have left the ry direction unrestrained. This explains the unexpected deformed shapes.
