Hi,
is it possible to model a trilinear hinge like plastic hinges defined in fema440?
type of trilinear function in this soft is such that no negative stiffness is accepted and options are not enough to define an standard hing corresponding to fema 356 and...
beam to column connections with fracturing behaviour needs to be modeled with springs linked to end of beam. but spring element is not provided in seismostuct.
link element isn't suiatble too.
what's solution?

Hello,

- indeed, a trilinear response curve with negative stiffness are currently not available.

- we normally consider 'link' elements as an equivalent to spring elements. Is this not so?
