Very slow graphics updating

Post by user »

Some times the graphics user interface becomes incredibly slow, with the model taking a very long time to load and to be updated. Why is this?

This behaviour typically occurs either when the model is very large or if one is using a laptop running on batteries and the latter features a Power Saving option that slows down the CPU (so as to increase the duration of battery). In other words, the Open-GL implementation in SeismoStruct requires the CPU to always be running at full speed in order for the program to be "usable".
