Pushover Analysis Diverged

Post by ramelaurenz »

Good day,

I would like to know the possible solution to be able for my model to converged. I already tried the convergence tips and flags and also set to a very loose criteria but my model still diverged. When Penalty function for rigid diaphragm is 1.0E7, the y direction diverged. When I change it to 1.0E5, the x direction diverged.

Thank you!

Apart from the parts on the manual for the convergence problems, you can carry out a search in this forum, where you will be able to find several posts. Two other things that you may need to try are the following:
- investigate the possibility of a structural failure, i.e. a member cannot sustain the applied loading
- if you carry out eigenvalue analysis and check the modes, you will be able to spot possible unconnected parts of your structure, e.g. beams that are not connected correctly to the columns
