Beam jacket and additional rebar misplacement

Post by Z.Apostolos »

Hello seismosoft!!
I would like to express an issue i am facing in Seismobuild. Specifically,
after placing the (three-sided) jacket, I notice that the positions of the
additional rebars of the original beam (manually placed in the beam before
adding the jacket) change significantly (in the beam’s graphic), while when
I try to view the additional rebars in the cross-section, access is denied
and the following warning appears:

Unidentified reinforcing bar type <5000mm> in the pattern
string.(C:Users\Stelios\Documents\MyPrograms\SeismoPrograms_v2025\Common\
MainOnly_CommonLib_Cad.pas, line 17887)

Also, I tried placing the additional rebars after first adding the jacket,
but the same warning appeared, and I was not allowed to access the setting.
Apparently, i can't access additional rebars setting if i have placed the
jacket. I would like to ask how can I solve this problem and if it causes
any errors in the analysis afterwards

Thank you very much for your time

As we explained from the support@seismosoft.com email we could not duplicate this bug with the most recent v2026 release. Please try using the latest SeismoBuild release. Regarding the difference in the location of the rebars, this (relatively small) difference appears because in jacketed sections the cover of the inner part is not modelled explicitly and the corner rebars appear at the corners of the inner/existing part of the section.
