Restraints error

Post by benbou »

Hi
Does anyone had problems with the restraints before??
Many times, when I save and open a model, the restraints are deleted and I have to put them everytime.

Thanks

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I never had problems with the Restraints module.

Hi,

We are afraid that we have never experienced such problems, for which reason we cannot really provide a solution.

Feel free to send us the model, however, if you wish us to investigate things further.

Yes I have that problem all the time, but only with some models - when I open the file, all nodes are free.

I suggest, by the way, that only the nodes that have restraints should appear on the restraints input table, such as in the nodal constraints table. Besides, the program allows you to paste restraints from an excel worksheet, but doesn't let you delete them after, so there can be repeated nodes in that table.

Hi, can you please send us the model, so that we may have a look into this? Many thanks.

I think I've found the reason. That happened exactly when I imported the restraints from the Excel worksheet. As I said when I paste them onto the table, reapeated entries are created and it seems that when I open the file, they are removed.

For that reason it would be easy if only the nodes which have restraints appeared in the table, so that you can add an entry instead of editing.
