Hyseresis Curve for Slip Shear

Post by rbsce.ph »

May I ask what is the most appropriate or reliable hysteresis curve for columns with base plate, bolts and grout to consider slip shear behavior? May we also know how to calibrate the parameters. Any comments or suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you.

For steel connections the most suitable curve is the Richard_Abbott curve. The curve is employed in the verification examples for the steel joints, Ch4-joint-04.spf, Ch4-joint-05.spf and Ch4-joint-06.spf. You may also refer to the Verification Manual and the relevant publications.
