Joint Behaviour

Post by Ralazem »

When Joints are not explicitly modeled using links, how does the software display their behaviour?
Can it identify failure of joints without their explicit modelling?
How can I read the results of a building's joints from the results section? Where can I find the joints response?

Detailed examples of modeling joints can be found in the Verification Report, pages 123-134. Without explicitly modeling the joints as links per the Verification Report, it seems to me that hand calculations using beam and column results from the analysis would be necessary. Other users may have alternative opinions. Best of luck in your work, Ralazem.
