error message 2 (URGENT)

Post by meser »

Hi,

I am running an incremental dynamic analysis for a 2-D, three storey regular frame structure, for an earthquake record with duration of 20 second and with time step dt=0.005 second(4000step)(as original record). After the analysis finishes, when I try to get the results of response maxima for any variable, an error message appears saying "INTEGER OVERFLOW". What does that mean? Do I have to re-run the analyses again and again

Best regards,
Muberra ESER.

Hi,

The problem is related to the fact that the Post-Processor cannot handle output files larger than 2GB. The solution is to reduce the output file size (e.g. by changing the ‘Frequency of Output’) or using a third-party software (e.g. Matlab) to extract the results from the text file output.

In the next release of the software we will add a warning regarding this post-processor output file size limitation; thanks for bringing the matter to our attention.
