Pushover analysis

Post by fadzli »

Hi,

I run a simple frame using push over analysis, but always got some error like max_prb or sol_prb. The structure is not unstable even i have check details the material n everthing. I have used strong column weak beam concept in this analysis, to make it failed at beam, but the error gv me bad result. My design based on eurocode.

Can someone give me an advice on this.

Thanks

Hi there. As you can imagine, it is very difficult to tell what the problem might be without seeing the actual model. Hence, please send us the latter, and we will pay a quick look at it.

Ok, we have received your model file now.
Unfortunately, we were not able to reproduce the error you reported; our analysis ran fine until the end (we will send you the results in a separate email).
One question though, why are you applying to a 27 metres tall building a horizontal top displacement of 8 metres?! What sort of action are you trying to simulate with such a 30% drift?!
