Slab Modeling

Post by Mousapoor »

Hello
In the modeling of the slabs, if we want to act other than the effective width definition of the slab for the beams and rigid diaphragm (performed by the software ; Seismostruct):
1- Can I model a slab with a number of beam elements? (one-way slabs)
2. How can two-way slab modeling be?
regards.

Dear Mousapoor,

You can model one-way slabs with a number of beam elements, but I do not think that the two-way slabs may be modelled with beam elements.

Thank you
I hope the ability to model the finite element of the slabs will be added in later versions.
