Modelling Walls

Post by RicardoMiguel »

Hello :) It's me again!!!

I'm with a question and again if you could help i will be very gratefull.

So the problem is: How should i consider walls between slabs. I mean without beams or columns to the the tipical frame.

Imagine per example a wall between a slab and a beam, and between two columns. How could i calculate the X0i and the Y0i?
Another example Walls between slabs without columns?

I can understand that some of those walls havent a important paper to the stiffness of the structure, but they contribute to the mass right? So on this cases i should put loads representing them, but where i put the loads if i havent beams?

The masses of the walls are considered automatically by the program if the correct value of the specific mass is considered in the materials module.
The stiffness of the slab cab be considered through rigid diaphragms, whereas its mass can be modelled as lumped masses on the top of the walls (typicallyfor the seismic assessment this is enough).
