Hello everybody!
I'm writing because I have some problems with a Seismostruct 2016 model by performing incremental dynamic analyses. I modeled a steel moment resisting frame with leaning columns accounting for second order effects by means of force based elements.
The model is avaliable at this ...

Stress and deformation report in IDA
<t>Goodevening! <br/>
I have just discovered that it is impossible to obtain the "stress and deformation output" for IDA analysis. I think this is a considerable lack in this software by which I obtained very successful results. I hope that in the future this output typology will be avaliable for ...

Re: element orientation error message
I created the model with an older version of Seismostruct. Pheraps the error dues to what you said. I should control better the frame orientation. Thank you!

element orientation error message
Good evening
Did somebody obtein this error in Seismostruct new version?
"Impossibile determinare l'orientamento dell'elemento"
What can I do? [B)]
Thank you!

Re: IDA analisis with loading factors
In post processor window I select the menu you told about but I have the same results also refreshing page and changing analysis.

Re: IDA analisis with loading factors
I loaded a time history curve and I added dinamic time history load in applied loading windows as the number of restreints at base of structure.
I used 1 5 and 10 as distinct scaling factors in IDA Parameters window.

Re: IDA analisis with loading factors
<t>Yes I mean scaling factor in IDA Parameter window. I said loading factor because they are also called in post processor window. If I insert two distinct scaling factors I have the same results in terms of displacement, rotations and reactions. How it is possible? What's probably wrong?<br/>

IDA analisis with loading factors
Hi,
why I have the same results of IDA changing loading factor?
thank you
