Activation Time/L.F.

<t>Good morning,<br/>
I performed some cyclic pushover analysis with the last version of the program using the "static pushover analysis" analysis type, and specifying different response control phases.<br/>
<br/>
Today I tried to run the same file on the new SeismoStruct version (because it isn't ...

negative post-yield stiffness

<t>hi everybody,<br/>
I'm looking at the lumped plasticity approach to model a cantilever structural wall, I'm using elastic beam-column frame element (elfrm) coupled with nonlinear links (Simplified bilinear Takeda curve). I calibrated the link and I assigned a convenient response curve for all 6 ...

Re: Shear deformation

Can the shear deformation be considered in others element classes?

Re: Integration sections

If you are using an "infrmFB" element when you define the element class proprieties you can choose the number of integration sections, if you are using "infrmDB" the number or integration section is 2 and you can't reduce it.

Re: modeling approach

Dear Seismosoft,
I read the paper and I think I understand more or less what is the point.
Could you tell me which integration method is implemented in seismostruct for "infrmDB" elements? Is it the Gauss-Lobatto integration method or the Gauss-Radau one?
Thank you,
Sabrina.

modeling approach

<t>Dear seismosoft,<br/>
I’m trying to understand how does the software work, so I started to use a very simple model (a single element which represent a cantilever wall) and compare the moment-curvature capacity that I obtain from pushover analysis with my hand calculation. I used a reinforced ...
