Re: PGA correction parameters

Thank you for your response. In the mean time, could you describe the parameters here? Thanks.

PGA correction parameters

In the "Matching Parameters" tab of the "Settings" dialog box, for the meaning of the "PGA correction parameters" Target PGA, Adjustment frequency, Damping, and Number of cycles, the SeismoMatch help file offers only this: "PGA correction parameters that may be left unchanged for typical application...

Arias Intensity units

<t>Whereas SeismoSignal, which has no "units" options, correctly reports Arias intensity in units of "m/sec" (while also reporting velocity in units of "cm/sec"), SeismoSpect appears to incorrectly report Arias Intensity in units of "cm/sec" when the user has chosen "cm/sec" as the units to use for ...

Group Size, inconsistent recommended default value

The default Group Size on the "Matching Parameters" tab is 250 on my brand-new installation of version 2.0.0. However, the help file states "The recommended default value is 25." Which value is your actual recommendation? Perhaps the "25" in the help file is a typo?

More GM parameters desired

<t>Wow, what a great program; thanks for making it available to the world. I know this is not SeismoSignal or SeismoSpect, but in future versions would you consider adding a couple more useful ground motion parameters to be displayed? For example, in addition to PGA, PGV and PGD of the resulting art...

GM Parameters of baseline corrected time histories

<t>In SeismoSignal, the ground motion parameters reported are for baseline-corrected time histories (unless you've not applied baseline correction, of course). However, in SeismoSpect, the GM parameters are always reported for the original (un-corrected) time history, even if you've applied baseline...

Graph Options

<t>The graphics engine used by SeismoSpect/Signal/Match is quite extensive and flexible, with tons of optional settings. But there is virtually no documentation for all those settings. Many are fairly self evident, but many more are not. Is there any possibility that SeismoSoft will produce a user d...

Mislabled plot axes

<t>On the SeismoSpect "Ground Motion Parameters" tab, the horizontal axis is labeled "Matched Accelerograms". Surely this is unintentional, as SeismoSpect isn't doing any "matching." Shouldn't it be simply "Accelerogram" or "Time Series"?<br/> <br/> More significant is the fact that, when not all GM...

Uneven time series plot sizes

<t>When the SeismoSpect window is open in a non-maximized state, the three time series plots (Acc, Vel, Disp) each are approximately the same height (about 180 pixels in my case). But when I maximize the window, the upper two plots (Acc, Vel) retain their previous heights (~180 pixels), while the Di...
