Anomalies in force-deformation curve

Post by Engineer MJ »

Hello ,

I am having some problems after running the pushover analysis in the force-deformation curve . There are some anomalies , some '' up and downs '' and the curve is not smooth as it should be . What can I do to solve this problem ?

I think some details might help forum users respond to your question.

What element type are you using?
What does your structure look like overall in geometry?
How many integration sections and discretized fibers are you using?
Are you using force control, response control, or automatic control?
What material models are you using for the inelastic elements?

This list is a starting point I think.
