User-defined constitutive model?

Post by hshs1283 »

Can the seismostruct software input the concrete constitutive model actually obtained from my own experiments? In addition to the preset concrete constitutive curve in the software, I would like to input my own measured concrete constitutive curve. Can this software realize the function of user-defined constitutive curve? It does not depend on some existing model, but just wants to input its own measured constitutive curve as the constitutive relation of the material in my simulation.

I wonder if the general hysteretic model might work? Just a thought worth looking into.

The general hysteretic curve is the multi-linear and it is not easy to simulate the parabolic shape of the concrete compressive branch. However, you might be able to model your measurements by calibrating one of the existing concrete models that are currently available in the program.
