Hello, I’m starting using the software and I was wondering if incremental dynamic analysis is the equivalent to doing a pushover wising time history curves

Pushover using time history curves
Re: Pushover using time history curves
It's an interesting analogy, but I would say, not really. A pushover analysis involves pushing the structure to collapse / failure. An incremental dynamics analysis involves applying multiple ground motion histories scaled to progressively higher amplitudes. Inelastic behavior is implied in pushover analysis, only at certain scaled amplitudes for each ground motion in IDA. pushover is essentially a static analysis. IDA is a dynamic analysis.
