Windows Vista 64bit

Post by obsadan »

I can not install seismostruct on Windows Vista 64 bit. Is there a way to overcome this problem? Is there a 64 bit version?
Thanks

Hi, apologies for the delay in responding. Unfortunately, there is currently no 64-bit version of SeismoStruct, mainly due to the fact that the code development platform we use (Delphi Pascal) does not yet feature 64-bit capabilities. As soon as the latter will be available (Borland had initially indicated 2009 as a possible year for release (see http://dn.codegear.com/article/36620), but delays are likely), then we will certainly develop a 64-bit version. Sorry if we cannot be of greater help this time round.

UPDATE! We have now packaged SeismoStruct with a new Installer that will allow to install and run SeismoStruct (32-bit version) in Windows Vista 64bit. This new version is available as of today from the Download section of our website.

Thanks for signalling this problem to us, and apologies for not having spotted straight way that the problem was with the installer, not with the program itself.
