I have modeled bridge bearings using a link with lin sym option for all the DOFs.
My project unit are SI units.
In the window where I define the values of stiffness (Ko) it does not appear kN/m but "F1 parameters(s)".
I guess it is only a mistake of presentation in the window but the real unit is kN/m.
But I have a question, is the rotational stiffness expressed in kNm/deg?
Thanks

Re: lin sym unit
Hi Antonio,
for each response curve you have to define values of stiffness consistent with your project units (if you are using "m" and "kN", the translational stiffness will be in kN/m and the rotational stiffness in kNm/rad). As you can read in the Help System, the response curves associated to the link elements are not sensitive to changes in Units Settings (thus, if you change the units of your model, remember to manually adjust the properties of response curves!!!).
