I'm using the software SeismoStruct for analysing an industrial building and his dynamic behavior.
THe bulding has:
-1 Storey height: 5.7m
-2 Bays lenght: 24.7m
-8 frames spacing: 8.7m
I am using for the first time the software, it is my second day. I had some doubts on it and in particulary how I can model the structure correctly:
1) I read in the forum that I cannot model the pre-stressed beams so which would the good way be for modeling? ( Elastic beams with equivalent mass + added mass simulating distributed loads on it I'm not interested to verify specific stress, deformations or non linear behaviour in the beams)
2)The beams cannot transfer bending moments to the columns so how to constrain (or not) certain degrees-of-freedom at the end of the elements?? I've tried to use the tool "Nodal Constraint" but without results (in the wrong way I think)

1) if you are not interested in assessing the stress-deformation state of the prestressed beams, then, yes, the fact that they are prestressed is not particularly relevant and you may simply define an elastic beam with the adequate section and mass properties.
2) in the upcoming release of SeismoStruct, you will have the possibility of introducing end-releases. For the time being, you may instead define two different coincident nodes at the edges of your beams, one of which connected to the beam and the other to the column, introducing then an 'Equal DOF' constrain defined for all dofs except the rotation ones that you wish to release.
