column with variable cross-sections

I am a new user of Seismosoft, I want to simulate a high column with variable cross-sections use fiber element, I need your help. Please!

We do not understand your problem? Why can you not simply change the section of your column element?..

If I understand correctly, you have something like a tapered column, the cross sectional dimensions of which change along the length of the member. If so,I believe you will have to discretize the taper and use prismatic elements.

I believe you will have to subdivide the column into elements and then assign the various properties to the individual elements of the subdivision. I don't believe that SeismoStruct currently handles non-prismatic elements.
