Hello,
I'm using the ssi_py link element in Seismostruct 5.2.2.
I see that there's the possibility to insert the initial force ratio P0 (initial force at zero displacement).
I made an analysis with displacement control applied at the node of the spring.
I entered with a value of 0.2 of P0 but i don't see any changing in the backbone curve (at 0 displacement, the value of force is 0 and not 0.2*Fy).
How does this option works?
Thanks
Alessandro

Dear Alessandro,
We are afraid we have not yet solved this issue. The ssi_py model was externally developed, and we are thus forced to wait for its author to provide us with feedback.

Re: ssi_py curve
Dear Alessandro,
We have now finally managed to look into the source-code of this response curve, and can confirm that the P0 parameter is indeed not currently being taken into consideration. We have thus asked the author of this model for assistance.
Apologies for the extremely long delay in providing feedback on this matter.
