Dear Developers
If I am modeling a single wall (say 1m width x 1m height x 0.1m thickness) using an inelastic frame element and subjecting it to cyclic loading, how do I capture the tensile and compressive force acting on the shorter side of the RC wall? In the post-processor option under 'Element Action Effects' under 'Frame Forces', F(A) and F(B) generates only the axial load that is occurring along the entire member.
So please advise on how I can obtain this.

The program does not output directly the tensile and compressive forces that act on the cross-section level. What you can do is to defined stress points to monitor the stresses and strains profile of the section. In this way you will be able to calculate the tensile and compressive forces with some trivial hand calculations.

Thank you, you mean I can calculate the tension/compression forces from the stress monitoring point.
Force = stress on monitoring point X Area of monitoring point
