Good morning,
I have a problem in the evaluation of the resistent bending moments of the RC cross sections of a flat frame.
Concerning the modelling of the reinforcements, for each span I introduced 3 different cross sections (left and right bearings and midspan)
I checked manually the values calculated by Seismostruct and I noticed that:
- the resistent bending moment calculated in the midspan is the correct one;
-the two values of the resistent bending moment at the bearings are wrong (they're calculated exactly as in the midspan, but the procedure is not correct as they should have been calculated considering the upper reinforcements as tensed ad the lower ones as compressed).
How can I solve the problem?
Best regards

Re: Reistent bending moment calculation
Can you please be a bit more specific?
With 'resistent bending moment' you mean the capacity of the T-shaped beams in the bending moments, code-based checks?
We checked the program and it seems that the bending moments are calculated correctly. Note that one factor that might confuse you is the reinforcement of the slab, which is actually considered in the calculations of the bending moment.
Thanks
