Reinforcement
I am trying to model a masonry wall with vertical reinforcement at 400 mm and horizontal bars every three courses or 600 mm. In the reinforcement tab of section properties, there is longitudinal and transverse reinforcement.
1. Since I am using a single layer of reinforcement for the vertical reinforcement, I clicked 'additional reinforcing bars.' A distance d2 and d3 is required. Is it that d3 is the distance along the in-plane width of the wall? How can I see a representation of the reinforcement that is being added to know if it is being inserted properly?
2. Transverse reinforcement has hoops and stirrups. I would however would like to use horizontal bars at intervals along the height of the member at 600 mm, how can this be included?
Point loads
It is not my intention to model the trussed roof, I would however like to represent the dead load of the truss roof as point loads on the supporting walls at the respective wall/roof connection locations. I noticed that nodal/point loads can only be applied where a node exist. Can a point load be applied to a node that is not connected to an element? If yes, would the load be applied to the element despite the node not being linked to the element?

The additional reinforcing rebars can be seen in the section's plot, once you have added them.
1. The d2 and d3 refer to the axes system as shown on the sections plot (in symmetric sections it is the centre of gravity of the section)
2. Only by specifying these as stirrups in the section transverse reinforcement.
3. Point loads can only be applied to structural nodes. What you could so is to subdivide the members, where these loads are applied

Can the transverse reinforcement in the reinforcement tab capture horizontal bars that are along the entire in-plane length of the member? I noticed it has hoops which I would think are stirrups

Currently the available transverse reinforcement for the masonry wall elements is the stirrups.

Thanks... Is there any particular reason for this? I am trying to model horizontal bars like the link attached, how would you recommend that I achieve this?

Possibly with two stirrups that have half the area of the single bar that you want to model.
