Hi my dear friend
I used rigid links between some nodes.master node is represent of a frame element(a girder of a bridge)and slave nodes represent of link elements(elastomerpad/bearing).my question is :is it mandatory to restraint orientation nodes of link elements as slave nodes to master node or making a rigid connection between master node and end nodes of link element as a slave node is enough?
thanks
constraints between links and frame elements
Re: constraints between links and frame elements
Dear mohamad_nazari,
The orientation nodes are used only for the definition of the orientation of the link element's local axes, hence there is no need for restraining the orientation nodes. I would like to add that you may use the 'default' orientation nodes for the definition of the link element, if there is no special inclination assigned to the link element.
