Re: Scale Factor

The scaling factor in Step 3 is simply a direct scaling factor of the spectrum introduced in Step 2. We confirm that the scaling factors works correctly in v2022. Seismosoft Support Thanks for the clarification technical support, now I get it. I was expecting that the response spectra of the select...

Re: Inputing Processed Ground Motion Records

Sorry if I miss something here I thought Seismosignal can only be used for processing of the original raw data of recorded ground motion and will not do any scaling to a target design spectrum? That is why I tried it with Seismoselect to do the amplitude scaling so that I can get the speficific scal...

Inputing Processed Ground Motion Records

Hi Technical Support,

Is there a way we can input a processed ground motion in text files for amplitude scaling and which command should we be able to do this?

Thanks

For Records Larger than 32768 lines issue

Hi Technical support, I encountered this issue were the message states "For records larger than 32768 lines, the Fourier and Power Spectra, as well as the Mean period Tm cannot be calculated" any possible solution how to go about this issue? Although I can still save the corrected time ser...

Re: Scale Factor

The scale factor is still not working even with the latest version? The concept of spectral matching is that the program will automatically do the scaling at the period range of interest modifiying the frequency content to closely fit the target design spectrum. This process wll use variable scale f...

Re: Non-numerical input error

Hi technical Support, I encountered similar error to this when reading my vertical ground motion input in text file I received an error "Non numerical input in row 2" upon checking the file it seems valid input. What is strange is that the orthogonal horizontal directions of the ground mot...

Re: Non Numerical Input Error

Thanks Hufftie I managed to make it work as per your suggestion I think seismosoft does not support CSV file. It would be good if they can also add this feature in future release. After running the spectral matching I get a reasonably nice fit for the acceleration and velocity graphs except for the ...

Non Numerical Input Error

Hi Technical Support, I was doing a trial spectral matching where I have my target MCE design spectrum as a CSV file I was just confused why it reads that line 3 is not a numerical input and it gives an error. Line 3 is just a period-acceleration pair of 0, 0.64005 respectively? Here is the CSV file...

Re: Maximum Direction Ground Motion

Thanks Seismosoft support for the clarifications. Will try the ESM database for sure.

Hoping as well that automatic RotD100 scaling can be implemented soon.
